7th Grade Crushed Can Drawings
The 7th graders worked on observational drawing using contour lines. First the students drew three un-crushed cans. This helped the students to focus on the details of the cans. Next, the students drew three cans crushed. The drawings were outlined in ink and colored using colored pencil.
6th Grade Abstract Sculptures
The 6th graders worked with the expressive qualities of line. As a class, we brainstormed some expressive words (happy, sad, etc.) then the students created drawings that resembled those emotions. From those drawings the students chose one to create a 3D sculpture. The sculptures are abstract and use line and color to express emotion.
